Rikka and Her Magic Ring in Iceland

Rikka and her magic ring in Iceland. This is a journey for children of all ages to explore the enchantment of our world as seen through the eyes of Rikka and her friend as they get transported through space and time by her magic ring with beautiful illustrations conveying a sense of fun to their expedition. It is an educational tale of adventure encompassing geography, history, culture and the environment and an awareness of why we should look after it for future generations. This book takes the reader through all that makes Iceland such a wonderful and exhilarating place for children to visit and if it creates a desire for them to visit this country in later life, it will have fulfilled its purpose and made them more aware of the different cultures and customs that makes this world such an exciting place.

Rikka and her Magic Ring in India

In my mind’s eye I think over the dazzling lands of India. From the sky scrapping peaks of the Himalayas to the brilliant sunsets of the Thar Desert to the immense urban center of Delhi or Mumbai, bursting with humanity, India and its unique peoples and places have captivated my attention for many years. This land of dazzling design, ancient streets and mouthwatering smells surpasses my imagination each time I visit.

While some individuals will eventually have the opportunity to visit India, many of us can travel to this place of wonder with Rikka, an inquisitive and curious young girl who is transported to different places with the help of her magic ring. Experiencing the journey through a child’s eyes allows us to see how the small differences, whether physical or ideological, that divide us can be overcome by the common bond of humanity. Rikka helps us to understand how we need to embrace the brotherhood of man for a peaceful and prosperous twenty first century. Part of the proceeds of the book will be donated to the Kids Parliament Charity, whose objective is to create a world where children want to live, where respect for human rights and the environment is certain, where equal chances without discrimination are given to all and where economic justice can best be won by free and ethical entrepreneurship regardless of race or creed.
